We are highlighting La Clinica de La Raza’s efforts with Healthy Havenscourt.  A local collaborative with the vision for children and families in the Havenscourt neighborhood to be healthy and safe in their schools, homes, and community. Their neighborhood action plan outlines four priority areas and eight key actions.  Today we are emphasizing their priority to ensure healthy environments emphasizing their key action to reduce asthma-related health disparities. Today was important for the mission of An Insightful Journey because it is essential to acknowledge that quality, affordable, and safe housing is a vital component in mental health and supports those with existing mental health conditions.

Many other important topics were not addressed today that encompasses the importance of Public Health in Housing concerning the Social Determinants of Health.
